The 2019 China Most Innovative Knowledge Organization (MIKE) Award was jointly initiated by the Tsinghua University Technology Innovation Research Center, Shenzhen Blue凌 Software Co., Ltd., and other institutions. The global MIKE award review committee participated in the guidance, officially launching in May this year, attracting many well-known companies such as Far East Holding Group, Huaxia Fund, and Guangdong Provincial Architectural Design Institute to register.

In August, after the first round of online evaluations by an expert review panel composed of experts from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Harbin Institute of Technology, and many knowledge management executives from well-known companies, a group of outstanding enterprises was selected from dozens of participating companies to enter the second round of on-site evaluation.

Far East Holdings: Knowledge management empowers employee growth.
Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd. was established in 1985 and is now a global investment management expert, repeatedly awarded "Asia's Top 500 Brands" and "China's Top 500 Enterprises." The Chief Administrative Officer of Far East Holding Group, and Executive President of Far East University, Zhuang Taiwei, introduced that the company has built the Far East University empowerment platform, constructed a multi-dimensional learning and development system that combines training and practice, and established a knowledge and skills sharing platform to comprehensively empower employee growth, thereby promoting efficient business development.
Ernst & Young Huaming: Building a "three-pronged" knowledge management.
Ernst & Young is one of the Big Four accounting firms, with 260,000 employees worldwide. According to Jiang Na and Tao Tingting, managers of the knowledge management department at Ernst & Young Huaming, they have built a "3C Knowledge Management System" that supports the group's information retrieval, sharing, and personnel communication through establishing KM tools, creating a knowledge-sharing atmosphere, cultivating relevant talents, and building communication communities.
GDAD: Integrating resources through a knowledge base brings good economic benefits.
Guangdong Provincial Architectural Design Institute (GDAD) was established in 1952 and is one of the first large comprehensive surveying and design units in New China. The director of the information center at GDAD, Huo Haobin, stated that GDAD effectively integrates internal resources through the establishment of a knowledge base, facilitating the collection of materials for bidding by production departments, reflecting comprehensive strength in bidding, increasing competitiveness and winning rates, and bringing tangible economic benefits to the research institute. At the same time, it provides rich materials for the integration of publicity and promotional materials for the research institute and opens up effective online channels for employee training and experience exchange.
Huaxia Fund: Knowledge management enhances corporate efficiency.
Huaxia Fund Management Co., Ltd. was established in 1998 and is one of the first fund management companies in China, serving over 100 million individual/institutional clients, with assets under management exceeding 1 trillion yuan. The director of the customer service department of Huaxia Fund, Ge Zhaohui, and vice president Li Xiang introduced that Huaxia Fund has established a knowledge management system covering investment research, products, customer service, sales, and management, relying on a large foundational knowledge base, continuously innovating and developing, and leveraging advanced technologies such as big data analysis and artificial intelligence to achieve business innovations such as AI quantitative investment, intelligent customer service, and Huaxia Charlie Smart Investment, significantly improving work efficiency, customer satisfaction, and investment performance.
Zhidu Co., Ltd.: Building a PMO to promote internal business cooperation.
Zhidu Technology Co., Ltd. was established in December 1996 and is listed on the main board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. It is an internet company focused on internet media and digital marketing. The talent development director of Zhidu Co., Ltd., Xiao Jinjun, introduced that the company has built a Project Management Office (PMO) to provide various resources such as media resources, advertising budgets, and competitive product information for its subsidiaries, enhancing mutual understanding among business personnel within the system, effectively promoting internal business cooperation, and leveraging overall advantages.
The expert review panel conducted a professional, fair, and rigorous evaluation of the reports from the shortlisted companies based on the eight new standards and innovation performance indicators for MIKE award knowledge organizations' continuous innovation, and also provided professional suggestions and opinions on the construction of knowledge management, innovation management, and other fields for the shortlisted companies.

In the end, after intense competition, Huaxia Fund, Far East Holding Group, and Guangdong Provincial Architectural Design Institute won the 2019 China MIKE Award, with Huaxia Fund receiving the Best Technology Innovation Award and Ernst & Young Huaming winning the Best Knowledge Operation Award.

The MIKE Award was formerly known as the MAKE Award (Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise), which originated in 1998 and was jointly initiated by Teleos and the KNOW network. In 2011, the MAKE Award was introduced to China and has successfully held seven sessions, leading Chinese enterprises to benchmark against international standards.
