Building a National Demonstration Project for Knowledge Management

 

Sinopec has four business segments: oil and gas exploration and development, oil and gas storage and transportation, refining and sales, and engineering construction, with nearly 700,000 employees. How to promote knowledge management in such a large large state-owned enterprise group?

 

In order to build a knowledge-based organization and implement knowledge engineering, Sinopec has released the “Sino-Petrochemical Implementation Innovation Driven Development Strategy Implementation Plan”. Focusing on the strategic goal of “innovation-driven development”, Sinopec has formulated a master plan for knowledge management, adopting an implementation strategy that is first promoted after piloting, and prioritizes knowledge engineering at the headquarters level in research institutes with upstream knowledge-intensive and scientific research. Second, improve the incentive mechanism and stimulate innovation enthusiasm. First, introduce the IPD process, strengthen the integration of knowledge and business, and enhance the ability of scientific research and innovation. Sinopec introduced the advanced product development management concept IPD (Integrated Product Development), built an inter-organizational R&D innovation structure, optimized the product innovation R&D process, deeply integrated IPD and knowledge management, and closely integrated the business product line with the knowledge capability line. The knowledge-supported business product line's full-cycle management enhances the company's independent innovation capability.

 

Second, build smart oil fields, improve the application and management level of intelligent business, and promote the increase of reserves and production. Based on the petrochemical Zhiyun basic cloud platform, the intelligent cloud application cloud, supported by technologies such as cloud computing, big data and Internet of Things, will be built to carry out intelligent business applications with intelligent single well-intelligent block-intelligent oil and gas field business line. Third, build a community of knowledge and practice, and play an "ant colony effect" to achieve innovation and innovation for all employees. 04 Practice knowledge management and build a national model

 

Sinopec leads the innovation drive with new achievements in knowledge innovation. How is its specific practice in knowledge management carried out? First, Sinopec has conducted online research on more than 100 companies, conducted on-the-spot investigations on more than 10 companies, and conducted research on four domestic and foreign advanced enterprises and platforms.
